A condominium or condo is a building divided into many separately-owned units with common areas that are jointly-owned.

A housing co-operative or co-op is a legal entity that owns one or more residential buildings.

Detached houses are houses that do not share walls with other houses. A single-family detached house is a house occupied by only one family. The house that produced that Stranger Things Halloween-themed display is an example of this.

A townhouse or townhome is an individually-owned house with at least two floors that share a wall with another house.

A mobile home, park home, or trailer home is a fabricated house manufactured off-site then moved by trailer to its final location. In season four the Upside Down gained exponential power by conquering a trailer park full of them.

A recreational vehicle or RV is a motor vehicle or trailer that can be used for habitation. A good example is a a skoolie.

A travel trailercamper or caravan is designed for residence, must be towed regularly by a vehicle, & can’t move on its own.

A tiny house is a house that’s 500 square feet or less & suitable for long term living. It can be built on a trailer or barge.

Houseboat or float houses are boats designed to be lived in.

A tent is a temporary, movable dwelling usually made with fabric covering a frame of lightweight wood or other locally-available material.
